* John McLaughlin and Jimmy Herring

Guitarist John McLaughlin — a seminal figure in the jazz-rock fusion movement, best known for his work with Miles Davis and the Mahavishnu Orchestra — is on what he’s calling his final tour. He’s brought along his excellent band, 4th Dimension, as well as Jimmy Herring, a fellow virtuoso best known as the lead guitarist in Widespread Panic. McLaughlin and Herring will play one set each with their respective ensembles, then will combine forces for a final set.
