Peter Edelman Trio: Jam Session

Longtime D.C. pianist Peter Edelman seems to have caught a whiff of smoke from the cigarettes of the hard-bop greats, like Sonny Clark and Kenny Drew. He leads the house band at Columbia Station, and holds jam sessions multiple times a week. The rustic club feels older than its 20-odd years, which can do something for the music—though sometimes not.
