French horn player Abe Mamet is has grown to be a visible member of the D.C. jazz scene over the last two years. In pre-COVID times, he hosted a regular Tuesday night jam session at Marx Café, a haunt for many of the scene’s younger cats. He’s fluent in the tradition but perfectly comfortable going off on avant sonic excursions.

He leads a trio featuring the stalwart area bassist Elliot Seppa and drummer Charles Wilson for HR Records “Tiny Stage Presents” Instagram Live series.
