Bill Heid is a stalwart of the keys, a dexterous player who is able to punch out powerful piano harmonies as well as settle into cool organ grooves that supplant cocktail stereotypes. A serious student of jazz and the blues, Heid has recorded and performed with a roster of top-tier musicians, including Sonny Stitt, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and David “Fathead” Newman.
