C.J. Chenier’s father, Clifton Chenier, was known as the “King of Zydeco” and the first Creole musician to win a coveted Grammy award. C.J., the “Prince of  Zydeco,” has stepped up to fill his father’s formidable, flying across the dance floor stage shoes as leader of the Red Hot Louisiana Band. The group performs a mix of Cajun and Louisianan styles from zydeco and swamp blues to funky New Orleans jazz.
