Cheyney Thomas has been lending his steady hand on the upright bass to some of D.C.’s most prominent straight-ahead cats for decades now. He swings steadily but surely and leads his own straight-ahead group.

He leads a group of area players to celebrate the release of his new album Thoughts in Three.
