Trumpeter and progressive-jazz trumpeter Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah has been playing in front of large crowds since he was a teenager growing up in New Orleans. Now he’s 32, and he’s become something of the wise old man among jazz’s young generation, if that makes any sense. His aerodynamic, bristling, high-octane performances stand up for a kind of jazz that keeps faith with Crescent City second line, funk, hard-bop and ’70s fusion. Two separate sets at 6 and 9:30 p.m.
