Dante Pope may be best known to many of D.C.’s jazz crowd as a steady drummer who brings some of the groove from his years playing soul and gospel. As a leader he brings that soul and R&B study to the forefront, playing music that blurs the lines between coffee shop singer-songwriters and Motown vocal groups like Boyz II Men and The Temptations.

Here he leads a tribute to the great vocalist and drummer Buddy Miles in a session that will be live streamed by Blues House Productions.
