Dave Chappell feat. “Big Joe” Maher (Livestream)

April 19, 2021 @ 8:00 pm
Blues Alley - National Press Club Livestream
$15 in Advanced / $20 Day of (Plus $3 Fee)

Dave Chappell is a veteran six-string slinger in the DMV, having played alongside legends like Danny Gatton and Roy Buchanan. His own style borders on this kind of hillbilly jazz, but leans more into a rockabilly sound.

Chappell hosts Blues Alley’s Monday live stream from the National Press Club every week this month, showcasing fellow guitarists in the DMV. The performance will be preceded by a guitar masterclass at 7:30 p.m.

Chappell is joined this week by drummer and blues singer “Big Joe” Maher, who embodies the kind of croon and shout blues of guys like Jimmy Rushing.

The link to the performance will be emailed once you’ve purchased a ticket.
