George Burton is of that new generation of jazz musicians unafraid to weave diverse sources like the quiet cadence and riffing of indie rock or the hard groove of funk and R&B into classic bop modalities. Listen to “Finding” off his new album Reciprocity, a quietly roiling mix of sharp piano melodies that churn under siren-like vocals, and you’ll hear this sound crystallized.  Two sets at 8 and 10 p.m.
