* Heros Are Gang Leaders

May 15, 2018 @ 8:00 pm
Blues Alley
1073 Wisconsin Ave. NW
$25 (Plus $12 Minimum and $5 Fees)

Heroes Are Gang Leaders have their hands buried in the soil of today’s creative ferment. Gathered around esteemed poet, D.C. native and Guggenheim fellow Thomas Sayers Ellis, the group features rising tenor saxophonist James Brandon Lewis, bassist (and CapitalBop editor) Luke Stewart and various other voices. Nothing describes a show from this group except the sounds themselves.
