The inventive, imaginative pianist Jason Moran, also artistic director for Jazz at the Kennedy Center, co-presents a lecture with cinematographer Bradford Young based around their new multimedia work centered on the oft-unexamined legacy Lieutenant James Reese Europe, leader of the 369th Infantry Regiment, The Harlem Hellfighters, on the history and development of jazz.
