* Joshua Espinoza & Erik Franklin (Livestream)

May 18, 2020 @ 7:00 pm
Mainstay Rock Hall Live Stream

It’s impossible to hear Baltimore’s Joshua Espinoza’s trio without being reminded of the Brad Mehldau and Esbjorn Svensson trios, or slightly newer stylists like Gerald Clayton, Taylor Eigsti, Shai Maestro and Yaron Herman.  His music fuses chamber music with the wide-open harmonic freedom of modal jazz and post-bop.

He performs in a live stream with clarinetist Erik Franklin, in which the two will cover classical mainstays like Mozart, Great American Songbook architects like the Gershwins, pop songs by The Beatles as well as some original numbers.
