Though now based in New York City, Justin Lees began his tenure as a swinging yet straight-focused guitarist in Washington, DC. He learned at the heels of several DC guitarist, including Rick Whitehead, Bill Biesecker and Danny Gatton. Lees chases the bop of Charlie Christian and adds  some stylistic and phrasing ingredients draw from the books of Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie. Two separate sets at 8 and 10 p.m.
