Bethesda’s own Max Light took home second place in the 2019 Herbie Hancock International Jazz Competition for guitar and its clear why he made it so far: the young musician can burn through chord changes and shred up and down the fret board as well as extract every morsel of emotional detail from a ballad. He returns to D.C. for a weekend of hometown gigs at the Twins. Two separate sets at 9 and 11 p.m.
