Drummer Mike Kuhl often leads trios that feature trumpeter Dave Ballou, in which the groups will create sonic soundscapes. There is no definite form or tempo to their work, but the peaks and valleys of brass and percussion and electronics are fascinating and rewarding to journey through.

Kuhl leads a trio featuring Ballou and the guitarist John Lee, great sorcerer of the six-strings in the DMV, in a livestream concert broadcast by An Die Musik Live in Baltimore.
