Obasi Akoto’s Oceanic Jazz Orchestra: “The Promise”(Livestream)

January 23, 2021 @ 7:00 pm
Keystone Korner Baltimore Live Stream
$10 (Plus $1.20 Fee)

Bassist Obasi Akoto’s touch on the bass has informed the foundaitons of a great multitude of artists in the D.C.-Baltimore/I-95 corridor scene. He’s played often with the likes of Roy Hargrove, Warren Wolf, Cyrus Chestnut and more. His touch is soft yet strong and swings just ever so right.

He steps out to lead the bandstand to lead his Oceanic Orchestra – an all-star group of D.C./Baltimore musicians like guitarist John Lee, Warren Wolf, trombonist Reginald Cyntje and drummer Eric Kennedy – through his original work “The Promise.”

The performance will be livestreamed from the Keystone Korner Baltimore.

The link to the livestream will be emailed once you’ve purchased a ticket.
