Drummer Quincy Phillips has an irrepressible bounce in all his playing. With the Young Lions trio, a D.C. mainstay for over 15 years, he moves throughout jazz’s decades with ease and glee.

Here he leads his band Chicken Grease which focuses on a weave of soul and R&B.
