Mr. Henry's
601 Pennsylvania Ave SE

For years, Jojo held a weekly jam session for jazz vocalists, the only one of its kind in the District, allowing aspiring crooners, scatters and belters the chance to work on their craft in the live setting. The jam is revived at Mr. Henry’s most Sundays, allowing a the new generations of vocalists to step up to the mic in Mr. Henry’s well-worn but welcoming upstairs room.

Co-hosted by veteran area vocalist Maija Rejman and Tony Compton, and featuring Blake Meister on piano and Steve Arnold on bass.
