The Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, a group of Smithsonian-sanctioned players who perform with an eye for history, perform a program drawn from the repertoire of Art Blakey, leader of the Jazz Messengers for decades, to salute the great drummer’s centennial.
