Drummer Sriram Gopal leads behind the kit with a light touch, never letting his position as bandleader overcrowd the airwaves. On his debut album, The Fourth Stream, he leads electrified an acoustic jazz combos through originals and covers that evoke classic bop, psychedelic ’70s fusion and his South Asian heritage.

He leads a group that also features his frequent collaborator Shannon Gunn, an imaginative trombonist, composer and arranger, who brings her own tunes to the proceedings.
