Stream: * Kenny Garrett Quintet

June 27, 2021 @ 5:00 pm
Keystone Korner Baltimore
Link to Come
$10 (Plus $1 Fees)

A Kenny Garrett concert can be a bit like a marathon. He elongates songs that might be five minutes on a record to 20 in the live setting, constantly pushing himself and his band. The alto-saxophonist, who first rose to prominence as a member of Miles Davis’ band in the late 1980s, is now a pre-eminent figure in straight-ahead jazz. Many of the current generation of jazz figure heads, especially west coast saxphonists like Kamasi Washington and Terrace Martin, cite him as a major influence.

The show will be broadcast from the Keystone Korner club in Baltimore.
