Stream: * Ravi Coltrane Quartet

June 19, 2021 @ 7:30 pm
Keystone Korner Baltimore
Link to Come
$10 (Plus $1 Fees)

A warm-blooded tenor saxophonist with a range of musical inclinations, Ravi Coltrane is one of his  generation’s leading lights. He might not have the level of influence of his father, John Coltrane, but that’s not a very fair comparison. Musically, Ravi Coltrane has the capacity to carry on the legacy of past generations with gripping swing and swift reinterpretations of jazz standards – but he’s fiercely modern. He prefers to soar over intense, polyrhythmic patterns and mixes in hip-hop and new music influences.

He leads a strong quartet featuring Orrin Evans on keys, Dezron Douglas on bass and drummer Jonathan Blake.

The show will be broadcast from the Keystone Korner club in Baltimore.

The link for the stream will be sent after you’ve purchased a ticket.
