* The Chuck Brown Band w/ Bootsy Collins (REACH)

September 7, 2019 @ 6:00 pm
Kennedy Center - Millennium Stage
2700 F St NW
DC 20566

The Chuck Brown Band carries on the legacy of Chuck Brown, the singer and guitarist largely credited for birthing go-go music in Washington, D.C. Even without their rough singing, smooth grooving frontman, the band will still get you shouting “Wind me up, Chuck!” at some point in the night.

The band is joined by Bootsy Collins, the legendary bassist of Parliament-Funkadelic and James Brown & the JBs, who will emcee the show and maybe even join in on the go-go fun. The show is part of the Kennedy Center’s REACH Festival
