UMD Jazz Studies professor John Lamkin leads a quintet that covers the golden age of straight-ahead, acoustic jazz. Made up of fellow jazz musicians from the Baltimore area, the group curates a set of both standards like “My Funny Valentine” along with originals inspired by the likes of Horace Silver and Art Blakey. Two separate sets at 8 and 10 p.m.
