The Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz presents the 2018 international jazz piano competition.

14 semi-finalists, who come from near and far, from Julliard and Florida to Armenia and Israel, perform before a panel of giants of the ivory keys including Herbie Hancock, Danilo Perez and Cyrus Chestnut. Three will go on to the finals at the Kennedy Center on December 3.

The semi-finals are free and open to the public. Tickets will be distributed at the museum starting at 11am EST.
