Bop trumpeter Wallace Roney was one of the few horn players lucky enough to study directly at the feet of Miles Davis; he plays with the deft attack of Miles in his peak post-bop years. He’s also something of a hometown hero, having studied at both the Duke Ellington School for the Arts and Howard University. Two separate sets at 8 and 10 p.m.
